Description
TAM20017 - Tamiya 1/20 Brabham BT50 BMW Turbo - WWWEB10103217
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
Brabham's first turbocharged Formula One car, the BT50, was designed by Gordon Murray around BMW's 1.5 litre four-cylinder turbo engine, rated at about 570 hp. It grew out of the championship-winning BT49 and used ground effect side pods on either side of a narrow central monocoque. The car debuted at the opening round of the 1982 season in South Africa, and reigning World Champion Nelson Piquet gave it its first win at that year's Canadian Grand Prix. This is Tamiya's 1/20 Grand Prix Collection No. 17, imported to Canada by Borgfeldt.
- Plastic sprues for monocoque, bodywork, side pods, wings and suspension
- Super detailed BMW turbo engine
- Seated driver figure
- Rubber slick tires
- Decals for Piquet's #1 car with Parmalat, Santal, BMW and Goodyear markings
- Assembly instructions with painting guide
