Erwin and Manfred Kremer ran a Porsche specialist workshop in Cologne, West Germany. For the 1977 season they built their own Porsche 935 Turbo, starting from the factory 935 and adding their own bodywork changes and other modifications. That year the Kremer 935 raced in both the World Championship for Makes and the German national championship (DRM). On October 8, 1977, it won the Hockenheim 6 Hours, the team’s first World Championship for Makes victory. The car wore the bright green Vaillant livery with rainbow stripes and the company’s rabbit mascot, and it became one of the most recognizable racing Porsches of the era. This 1/20 Tamiya Grand Prix Collection kit, made from original designs with Porsche’s permission, builds the #4 Vaillant-Kremer 935 shown on the box art. It can be built as a static display model or motorized.
