Description
SWO72066 - Sword 1/72 T-28B Trojan - WWHP111416
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
The North American T-28 Trojan was developed to replace the T-6 Texan as the USAF and USN's primary piston-engined trainer, entering service in 1950. The B variant was a Navy-specific redesign powered by the more powerful Wright R-1820 radial engine driving a three-blade constant-speed propeller, and served as the USN's standard primary trainer well into the early 1980s. A number of B models were later converted to the armed T-28D configuration for counter-insurgency operations in Southeast Asia.
