The Oshkosh M-ATV (MRAP All-Terrain Vehicle) was developed to give U.S. and allied forces the blast protection of an MRAP in a lighter, more mobile package suited to the rough terrain of Afghanistan. Built on the TAK-4 independent suspension, it combined a V-shaped mine-resistant hull with genuine off-road capability, and it has served widely with U.S. forces and numerous export operators. The M1240A1 is an up-armoured production variant.

This is Rye Field Model's 1/35 M1240A1 M-ATV with full interior, a detailed modern-armour kit. Features include a complete engine and crew-compartment interior, openable hood and doors, slide-moulded parts, a photo-etched fret, and a decal sheet with an AMMO-of-Mig-referenced painting guide that includes a Polish Special Forces M-ATV scheme among the marking options.
