Description
RM5005 - Rye Field Model - 1/35 Tiger I; Gruppe 'Fehrmann'
The Tiger I Gruppe “Fehrmann” represents a small group of late-war German Tiger I heavy tanks assembled from training and replacement vehicles in 1945 under the command of Leutnant Otto Fehrmann. These improvised units were formed during the final stages of World War II and were used in desperate defensive actions as Germany faced advancing Allied forces. The tanks typically displayed mixed production features, field modifications, and non-standard fittings, making them visually distinctive compared to standard Tiger I production variants. Rye Field Model’s 1/35 scale kit captures this unique late-war configuration with highly detailed exterior features and a full interior layout, reflecting the complexity of these ad-hoc battlefield machines. Original release from Rye Field Model, kit RM-5005.
