The Curtiss H-16 was the American-built version of the famous Felixstowe F.2A, produced under licence after F.2A designer John Porte drew on his long partnership with Glenn Curtiss. Structurally almost identical to its British counterpart, the H-16 was powered by American Liberty V12 engines, and it served with the Royal Naval Air Service on coastal patrol and anti-submarine duties in 1918, as well as with the US Navy in Britain and at home until the mid-1920s. Roden's large-scale 1/72 kit captures this imposing twin-engine biplane flying boat with four marking options spanning both services.
