Description
RMXH-625 - Revell 1/72 F4U-1D Corsair - WWHP111652
Preowned, Resealed, Mint inside, Box worn
The Vought F4U Corsair was a US Navy and Marine Corps carrier-capable fighter, instantly recognizable by its inverted gull wing and long nose housing the powerful Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial. The F4U-1D was a mid-war variant optimized for fighter-bomber work, with provision for drop tanks and rockets. Feared by Japanese pilots who reportedly nicknamed it "Whistling Death," the Corsair finished the war with a commanding kill ratio.
This is the vintage Revell "Authentic Kits" boxing of the 1/72 F4U-1D, litho'd in Canada with complete French instructions, based on Revell's classic 1963 tooling. Box art depicts a US Navy/Marine aircraft.
