The Messerschmitt Me 262 Schwalbe was the world's first operational jet fighter, entering Luftwaffe service in 1944. Powered by two Junkers Jumo 004 axial-flow turbojets, it was dramatically faster than any piston-engine fighter of its day, though it was hampered by unreliable engines, fuel shortages, and its late-war introduction. The Me 262A-1a was the principal fighter variant, armed with four 30 mm cannon.

This is the Revell (G.B.) Ltd. boxing of the 1/72 Me 262A-1a (Potters Bar, England), based on Revell's classic "Authentic Kits" tooling, with a frameable box-top illustration. Decals represent a Luftwaffe aircraft.
