The Viper SRT10 ACR arrived in 2008 as the hardest edged version of the fourth generation car, built for owners who wanted a street legal machine that behaved like a race car. American Club Racer specification brought a front splitter, fixed dive planes, an adjustable rear wing and lightweight wheels, all backed by the 8.4 litre V10 and six speed manual. The setup worked: the ACR went on to take the production car lap record at the Nürburgring and a string of North American road courses.
