The 1969 Corvette coupe was one of the most fearsome cars of its era when fitted with the L71 427 cubic inch "Rat" big block, which used three two-barrel carburettors to make 435 horsepower. Backed by the Muncie M-22 "rockcrusher" four-speed, it ran the quarter mile in under 14 seconds. It was also the first Corvette with the ignition switch on the steering column, a detail Revell reproduces in this 1989 kit.
