Description
RMX4118 - Revell 1/72 Hawker Hurricane - WWHP111847
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
The Hawker Hurricane was the RAF's first monoplane fighter and, despite being overshadowed by the Spitfire in popular memory, actually accounted for more enemy aircraft destroyed during the Battle of Britain than any other type. Designed by Sydney Camm and entering service in 1937, the Hurricane's fabric-covered fuselage and robust construction made it highly adaptable and easy to repair in the field. The type served in every major theatre of the war — North Africa, Malta, Norway, and the Pacific — in roles ranging from interceptor and tank-buster to carrier-borne fighter. This Revell release depicts a Nightfighter scheme, marked "VY" with red-outlined roundels.
