RMX4108 - Revell 1/72 S.E.5A - WWHP113509
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The S.E.5a was the Royal Aircraft Factory's answer to the Albatros scouts, and it arrived in squadron service through 1917 to become one of the finest fighters of the war. A geared Hispano-Suiza or Wolseley Viper of around 200 hp gave it real speed and a strong dive, and the sturdy airframe with its Vickers gun and overwing Lewis made it steady enough for pilots of average skill to fight well. Mannock, Bishop and McCudden all scored heavily on the type, and it stayed on RAF strength until the Armistice.
In the box:
- Injection moulded plastic parts, moulded in colour in olive green, on the sprues and bagged
- Parts breakdown covering fuselage halves, upper and lower wings, tailplane, rudder, propeller and spinner, radiator, interplane and cabane struts, undercarriage, wheels, Vickers gun and overwing Lewis on Foster mount
- Pilot figure and windscreen included
- Waterslide decal sheet with RFC roundels in several sizes, rudder stripes, serial and large fuselage code letter
- Folded multilingual instruction sheet with exploded assembly diagram and decal placement
- Top opening rigid box with period Revell artwork
- Paint and cement not included
