The Leclerc was developed by GIAT as the Engin Principal de Combat to replace the AMX-30, and entered French Army service in January 1992. The T5 designation covers one of the later production tranches, with the fitted appliqué armour and updated sensors. Revell's 1/72 kit dates from 2002 and builds to 15.1 cm.

In the box:

• Dark green styrene sprue with hull tub, upper hull, turret halves, appliqué armour panels, running gear and stowage
• Track runs supplied as plastic parts on the sprue
• Separate commander's cupola with roof-mounted machine gun
• Waterslide decal sheet with markings for two vehicles: PETITMONT, registration 6974 0006, and TROMPE LA MORT, registration 6964 0125, plus French flags, unit chevrons and hull data plates
• Multi-language instruction sheet with history text and paint callouts
