Description
RAG03211 - Revell 1/76 Sherman Firefly - WWWEB10109677
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
Britain received Shermans from the United States under Lend-Lease and modified a proportion of them to take the 17 pounder anti-tank gun, giving Allied armoured regiments a weapon that could take on Panthers and Tigers at range. The conversion meant a rotated breech, a new gun mantlet, a rear turret bustle for the radio and the hull machine gunner's position given over to ammunition stowage. This is the ex-Matchbox 1974 tooling in Revell's 2004 boxing, roughly 56 parts, building to 10.4 cm.
In the box:
- Dark green styrene sprues with hull, turret with rear bustle, 17 pounder barrel, VVSS bogies, road wheels and moulded-on stowage
- One-piece track runs
- Waterslide decal sheet with markings for two vehicles: 2nd Battalion Coldstream Guards, Normandy, June 1944, and 2nd Fife and Forfar Yeomanry, Rhine crossing, 1945, plus formation signs, bridging discs and callsign numbers
- Multi-language instruction sheet with history text and paint callouts
