The M60A1 was a Cold War American main battle tank armed with a 105mm gun, and this version depicts one fitted with explosive reactive armour (ERA). The blocky ERA tiles, added to the turret and hull, were designed to defeat shaped-charge warheads and were notably fitted to US Marine Corps M60A1 tanks during the 1991 Gulf War. The type gave the ageing M60 improved survivability against modern anti-tank threats.

This is a 1/72 scale plastic model kit, Revell skill level 5.
