From late summer 1944, German armoured vehicles left the factories in what is usually called ambush camouflage, a dark yellow base broken up with patches of olive green and red brown, then overlaid with small dots of the contrasting colour. The effect was meant to mimic dappled light falling through foliage and break up the vehicle outline at the edges of woodland. Airbrushing convincing dots at 1/35 is one of the harder finishing jobs in armour modelling, so these waterslide decals offer a repeatable alternative.
