Warhammer Colour Base (Citadel Base)

Warhammer Colour Base paints, formerly Citadel Base, are Games Workshop's high-pigment acrylics made for the first coat on your miniatures. They give strong, even coverage over primer, so you can lay down a solid block of colour in one or two thin coats.

Base paints are the starting point of the classic Warhammer painting method: basecoat with a Base paint, add depth with a Shade, then pick out edges and raised areas with Layer paints. Each comes in a 12ml pot and keeps its familiar Citadel colour name.
