NPKF166 - Novo Air/Plastic Kits 1/72 Ryan - Spirit of St. Louis - WWHP111627
Preowned, decals useable but need work or part of decal sheet missing
The Ryan NYP "Spirit of St. Louis" (registration N-X-211) carried Charles Lindbergh on the first solo non-stop transatlantic flight in May 1927, New York to Paris. Purpose-built by Ryan around a Wright J-5C radial and stripped of forward visibility to carry fuel, it became one of aviation's most iconic aircraft. This is the ex-Frog tooling, originally a 1964 Frog release, produced in the USSR and marketed in the West by Novo.
Box contents:
- Plastic sprues, moulded in the USSR
- Waterslide decal sheet for N-X-211
- Colour painting guide / instructions on the box (gloss silver overall, matt dark brown, matt black tyres)
Ex-Frog mould (Frog F166, first tooled 1964); this Novo boxing carries catalogue no. 76051 and is marked "Made in USSR," distributed in Canada by International Games of Mississauga, Ontario
