NPKF152 - Novo Plastic Kits 1/72 Hotspur Troop Carrying Glider - WWWEB10101744
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The General Aircraft Hotspur was a British troop-carrying glider of the Second World War, designed early in the war to deliver airborne infantry into action. Although it proved too small for operational assault use and was soon overtaken by larger gliders like the Horsa, it became the standard trainer for Britain's wartime glider pilots and was built in large numbers in that role. The Mk II was the principal training variant.
This is the Novo boxing of the 1/72 General Aircraft Hotspur II, made in the USSR from the former FROG tooling and distributed in Canada by International Games (Mississauga, Ontario). Decals and colour guide represent a Hotspur Mk II of No. 2 Glider Training School, RAF Croughton, 1941.
Box contents:
- Injection-moulded plastic parts on sprue
- Clear canopy/glazing
- Waterslide decal sheet (RAF training markings)
- Assembly instructions with colour painting guide
