MSV48017 - ModelSvit 1/48 P-51H Mustang
The P-51H was the final production Mustang and the fastest, developed from the lightweight XP-51F and XP-51G prototypes with a slimmed airframe, taller fin and a water-injected Merlin. It reached squadrons too late for combat and is the only mass produced single seat Mustang never to fly an operational mission, spending its service life with Air National Guard and Reserve units until jets replaced it in the mid 1950s.
