The Mil Mi-24 was built around an idea no Western manufacturer pursued, putting a heavily armoured gunship nose and a troop cabin in the same airframe so that it could deliver a squad and then stay overhead to support it. Stub wings carry rocket pods and anti-tank missiles, and a chin turret handles close in work. This MPC boxing from 1984 uses the Airfix tooling and was sold in North America under the Golden Opportunity banner.
