The Dornier Do 17 began life in 1934 as a high-speed mail plane before being adapted as a Luftwaffe bomber, earning the nickname "Flying Pencil" for its slender fuselage. The more heavily armed Do 17Z saw action over Poland, France and the Low Countries, and was among the most numerous German medium bombers over Britain in the summer of 1940. Monogram tooled this classic kit in 1969, and it remains a favourite among collectors of vintage 1/72 kits.

• Parts moulded in dark green plastic, with clear glazing parts
