The Curtiss P-6E Hawk was an American single-seat biplane pursuit fighter flown by the United States Army Air Corps in the early 1930s, and the last fighter biplane built in quantity for the Army. Powered by a Curtiss V-1570 Conqueror engine, it could reach around 200 mph, and although only a modest number were built, it remains one of the best-known American "between the wars" pursuit aircraft, especially in the striking markings of the 17th Pursuit Squadron.
