Description
MON2778 - Monogram 1/24 Steve Butler Sprint car - WWHP111899
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
Steve Butler was an Indiana-based sprint car racer who became one of the most successful open-wheel short-track drivers of the 1980s, ultimately earning six national championship titles across USAC divisions. In 1986, driving the #1B Stoops / Boles Chevrolet-sponsored car on a Gambler chassis, Butler won the USAC Sprint Championship along with AllStar Circuit of Champions and World of Outlaws feature races. The Gambler chassis was one of the dominant sprint car frames of the era, associated with country music star Kenny Rogers who backed the manufacturer -- itself a well-known piece of American short-track racing history.
