Description
MNC400601266 - Minichamps 1/43 Maserati Tipo 61 Nassau Speed Week Nassau Trophy 1960 Jim Hall
The Maserati Tipo 61 earned its “Birdcage” nickname from its intricate spaceframe of small-diameter steel tubes, which made it light, stiff and remarkably quick with its 2.9 litre four-cylinder engine. Jim Hall raced the white #66 car in the Nassau Trophy at the 1960 Nassau Speed Week in the Bahamas, a few years before founding Chaparral Cars. Minichamps captures it with fine wire wheels and a detailed open cockpit in a limited run of 1,632 pieces.
