Ford's Model A closed delivery body turned the everyday A chassis into working transport for grocers, bakers, laundries and anyone else who needed a name painted large on a panel side. Powered by the 40hp four-cylinder and riding on the same running gear as the passenger cars, it was cheap to buy, cheap to fix and everywhere on North American streets by 1931, the final year of Model A production. The Acme Distillery livery on this box is the sort of period signwriting that made these vans rolling billboards.
