The Messerschmitt Me 410B-2/U4 was a heavily armed variant of Germany’s Me 410 “Hornisse” heavy fighter, developed during World War II for bomber interception and anti-armor roles. Equipped with the powerful 50mm BK 5 cannon mounted in the nose, the Me 410B-2/U4 was designed to engage Allied bomber formations at long range with devastating firepower, though at the cost of agility and speed. Meng Model’s 1/48 scale kit reproduces this distinctive variant with finely detailed airframe features, accurate cockpit structure, and the prominent nose cannon installation. Originally released by Meng Model, kit LS001, now discontinued.
