MATPK-602 - Matchbox 1/72 Lancaster B.I/III - WWHP111823
Preowned, Resealed, Mint inside, Box worn
The Avro Lancaster was the Royal Air Force's principal four-engined heavy night bomber of the Second World War, powered by four Rolls-Royce Merlin engines and introduced into service in 1942. It flew many of the war's best-known raids and went on to be one of the most celebrated British aircraft of the conflict, with the B.I and B.III differing chiefly in the source of their Merlin engines (British-built for the Mk.I, Packard-built for the Mk.III). This is the Matchbox kit (originally tooled in 1979) moulded in the brand's characteristic multi-colour plastic, with markings for three aircraft.
Box contents:
- Multi-colour injection-moulded plastic sprues
- Clear parts for canopy, turrets, and glazing
- Waterslide decal sheet (three options: RAF WS-J NG206, RAF ZN-A R5677, and RAAF A66-1)
- Illustrated instruction sheet with multilingual colour and markings plan
