MATPK-405 - Matchbox 1/72 B25H/J Mitchell - WWHP111827
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
The North American B-25 Mitchell was an American twin-engined medium bomber that served the USAAF and Allied air forces in every theatre of the Second World War, best known for the Doolittle Raid on Japan in 1942. This kit builds either the B-25H, a heavily armed strafer fitted with a 75mm cannon in the solid nose, or the glazed-nose B-25J bomber. Originally tooled in 1975, it is moulded in Matchbox's characteristic multi-colour plastic and includes markings for three aircraft.
Box contents:
- Multi-colour injection-moulded plastic sprues with optional H and J nose parts
- Clear parts for canopy, nose, and turrets
- Waterslide decal sheet (three options: USAAF 1st Air Commando Group India/Burma 1944, Free French No. 342 "Lorraine" Squadron RAF, and RAF No. 180 Squadron Melsbroek 1944)
- Multi-position display stand
- Illustrated instruction sheet with three-colour painting plans
