A714 - LS Models 1/144 JMSDF Lockheed P-3C ORION - WWHP112602

Preowned, Resealed, Mint

The P-3C Orion became the backbone of Japan's maritime patrol force in the 1980s, with the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force taking delivery of about 100 aircraft, most of them licence-built by Kawasaki. Powered by four Allison turboprops and packed with sonobuoys, radar and a tail-mounted magnetic anomaly detector, the Orion hunted submarines around Japan's home waters for decades. LS's 1/144 kit depicts the JMSDF's first P-3C, 5001, as shown on the box art.
