The Mitsubishi Ki-46 "Dinah" was a fast, high-flying twin-engine reconnaissance aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Army. The Ki-46-III KAI was an emergency interceptor conversion: recon airframes were rearmed with nose cannon and an obliquely-mounted upward-firing cannon to engage high-altitude B-29 raids over the Japanese home islands late in the war. This kit represents that interceptor variant.
