The Grumman A-6 Intruder was the U.S. Navy's primary carrier-based strike aircraft from its introduction in 1963 through its retirement in 1997. The A-6E was the definitive production variant, introduced in 1970 with a new multi-mode radar, forward-looking infrared system, and digital computer that gave it an all-weather precision strike capability unmatched in its era. A-6Es flew combat missions in Vietnam, Lebanon, Libya, the Gulf War, and Bosnia before the type was finally retired. The markings in this kit depict VA-115 Eagles and VA-155 Silver Foxes aircraft from the final years of Intruder service in the mid-1990s.

This kit includes two Eduard aftermarket detail sets and a Fightertown Decals aftermarket decal sheet.
