179 - Italeri - 1/72 Tornado F-3 ADV - WWWEB10107270

Preowned, Resealed, Parts off sprue

The Tornado ADV was Britain's answer to a very specific problem: intercepting Soviet bombers far out over the North Sea and North Atlantic, where endurance and long-range radar mattered more than dogfighting. The airframe was stretched to carry Skyflash missiles semi-recessed under the fuselage and to fit the Foxhunter radar, and the F.3 became the definitive production version, serving RAF air defence squadrons from the late 1980s until 2011. Box art shows ZE164 of 229 OCU at Coningsby.

Box contents:

• Grey styrene sprues with clear parts for the two-seat canopy
• Parts for one model with swing wings, external fuel tanks, Skyflash and Sidewinder missiles and pylons

• Illustrated multilingual instruction sheet with painting guide and Model Master paint callouts
• Made in Italy
