ITA91232 - Italeri - 1/72 F-111 Aardvark

The General Dynamics F-111 Aardvark is a twin-engine supersonic fighter-bomber with variable-sweep wings. Produced from the late 1960s, it remained in service until the late1990s, representing a significant technological leap compared to aircraft of its time. It was capable of reaching speeds of Mach2.5 and carrying a substantial offensive payload. A crew of two are seated side by side in a pressurized cockpit that featured an escape module for emergency ejection. It was used in several conflicts, including the Vietnam War, where it was employed for nighttime bombing missions and low-altitude attacks.
