HOBHC2301 - Hobbycraft - 1/72 CH-113 Labrador - WWHP113857
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
The CH-113 Labrador was the Canadian version of the Boeing Vertol Model 107, the tandem-rotor helicopter the U.S. Marines flew as the CH-46 Sea Knight. The RCAF took delivery of its first Labradors in 1963 for search and rescue, and the Army’s sister version, the CH-113A Voyageur, was later converted to the Labrador standard. For more than 40 years, Labradors in their high-visibility yellow scheme with red bands and “Rescue / Sauvetage” titles flew from bases across Canada. They pulled people from ships, mountains and the North Atlantic, and their crews saved thousands of lives. After a mid-life upgrade in the 1980s, the Labradors served until 2004, when the CH-149 Cormorant replaced them. This Hobbycraft kit builds either a Canadian Forces CH-113 Labrador, such as “303” on the box art, or a U.S. Marines CH-46E/F Sea Knight.
