Description
HOBHC1531 - Hobby Craft 1/48 Korean War Sea Fury - WWHP111825
Preowned, resealed, mint, some parts off sprue
The Hawker Sea Fury was a British carrier-based fighter, among the fastest piston-engined aircraft ever to enter service, powered by a Bristol Centaurus radial engine. It served the Fleet Air Arm after the Second World War and saw extensive combat during the Korean War, where on 9 August 1952 a No. 802 Squadron Sea Fury flown by Lt Peter Carmichael shot down a MiG-15 jet, one of the few piston-engine victories over a jet fighter. This Hobbycraft kit represents the FB.11 and export FB.50 variants, with markings covering Korean War and post-war operators.
