The Vought F4U Corsair was one of the finest carrier fighters of the Second World War, instantly recognisable by its inverted gull wing and large four bladed propeller, both adopted to give ground clearance for the huge airscrew driven by its powerful radial engine. The F4U-1D was the first dedicated fighter bomber version, adding underwing pylons for a drop tank or bombs. This is a vintage Hasegawa Scale Series kit.
