Description
HAS09149 - Hasegawa 1/48 Aichi B7A2 Ryusei Kai (Grace) - WWWEB10115401
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Aichi B7A Ryusei was among the most capable carrier attack aircraft of the Pacific War, designed to replace both the B6N torpedo bomber and D4Y dive bomber in a single airframe capable of performing both roles. Powered by the Nakajima NK9C Homare 12 engine, the B7A2 production variant was fast enough to outrun many Allied fighters, but arrived too late to see meaningful carrier operations after the destruction of Japan's carrier fleet at the Philippine Sea in 1944. Most of the 105 B7A2s produced flew land-based missions from Kyushu during the final months of the war. Released in 1997 as a new-tool kit, Hasegawa's 1/48 B7A2 remains the definitive kit of the type in this scale.
