Description

HAS08077 - Hasegawa 1/32 P47D Thunderbolt - WWWEB10114431

Preowned, Resealed, Mint

The Republic P-47D Thunderbolt was the most produced American fighter of World War Two, with the bubbletop D-25 and later variants becoming the definitive USAAF fighter-bomber over Western Europe from mid-1944. Armed with eight .50-calibre machine guns and capable of carrying bombs and rockets, the P-47D excelled equally in the escort and ground-attack roles. Released in 2007 as a new-tool kit, Hasegawa's 1/32 P-47D provides markings for two notable USAAF aces: Lt. Col. Francis Gabreski of the 56th Fighter Group (the top-scoring American ace in the European theatre) and Maj. Glenn T. Eagleston of the 354th Fighter Group.

  • Plastic sprues
  • Vinyl tyre parts
  • Multicoloured waterslide decal sheet (two marking options: 61st FS/56th FG, HV-A/226418, Lt. Col. Francis Gabreski, July 1944; 353rd FS/354th FG, FT-L/420473, Maj. Glenn T. Eagleston, August 1944)
  • Black and white instruction sheet
