Description

FUJSM23 - Fujimi 1/24 Dome Zero RL - WWHP111515

Preowned, Resealed, Mint

The Dome Zero RL was a Japanese-built Group 6 prototype designed by Minoru Hayashi of Dome Co. Ltd., making its race debut at Le Mans in 1979. Powered by a Ford-Cosworth DFV 3.0L V8 and sponsored by Roland (the Japanese musical instrument manufacturer), it was one of the first serious Japanese attempts at building a purpose-designed Le Mans prototype. Though it failed to finish in 1979, the Zero RL remains historically significant as a pioneer of Japanese prototype racing.

Box Contents:

  • Plastic sprues (two-piece body with folding rear section, chassis, Ford-Cosworth DFV engine, suspension, interior)
  • Waterslide decal sheet (Roland livery)
  • Assembly and painting instruction sheet

Features: Two-piece body design — rear bodywork lifts via an internal fold mechanism to expose the fully detailed DFV engine. Mechanism is glued in place during assembly; rear body can be displayed open or closed but cannot be removed once built.
