The Tiger II (Sd.Kfz.182), known to Allied forces as the King Tiger or Royal Tiger, was the heaviest production tank fielded by Germany in the Second World War, entering service in 1944. The Henschel turret, which equipped the majority of production vehicles, featured a rounded mantlet and became the definitive King Tiger configuration seen in the Ardennes offensive and in defensive fighting on both fronts in 1944 and 1945. Fujimi's 1/76 series No.23 release is a compact, wargaming-friendly kit of the Henschel-turreted variant with vinyl track runs.
