FINFP26 - Fine Molds - 1/72 Imperial Japanese Army Type3 Fighter 244th Air-Regiment Kawasaki Ki-61-I Tony

The Ki-61 Hien was the only Japanese fighter of the war built around an inline engine, giving it a silhouette that had Allied pilots initially mistaking it for an Italian design, hence the reporting name Tony. The 244th Sentai flew it in home defence over Tokyo against B-29 raids, and the unit's aircraft carried some of the boldest markings of the period.
