Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Douglas AD-4W was the airborne early warning variant of the Skyraider, carrying an APS-20 radar in a large belly radome to extend a task force's radar horizon. It served with the US Navy and, as the Skyraider AEW.1, with Britain's Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm through the 1950s. This is ESCI's 1/48 boxing.
Box contents:
- Plastic sprues for a 1/48 scale AD-4W Skyraider, moulded in dark blue
- Belly radome for the APS-20 radar
- Clear canopy
- Decal sheet (printed by Cartograf) with US Marines VMC-1 and Royal Navy WT984 markings
