EDU72339 - Eduard 1/72 B-57B Canberra (For Italeri) - WWHP113227
Preowned, Original seal, Mint inside
The Martin B-57 was the American licence built version of the English Electric Canberra, the only foreign design adopted as a US bomber in the postwar era. The B-57B was the definitive variant, replacing the side by side seating of the A model with a tandem cockpit under a fighter style canopy, and adding wing mounted guns and a rotary bomb bay door that swung the load into the airstream. It saw heavy use in Vietnam on night interdiction and close air support, and the type served into the 1980s in reconnaissance and electronic roles.
- 1/72 scale photo-etched brass detail set
- Two frets covering exterior and cockpit detail
- Perforated fuselage airbrake panels, a signature B-57 feature
- Cockpit sidewall consoles, instrument panel and seat detail
- Undercarriage bay and gear door detail
- Boarding ladder
- Rotary bomb bay and ordnance fittings
- Designed for the Italeri 1/72 B-57B kit
- Fine parts benefit from a photo-etch bending tool
- Cyanoacrylate glue and paint required, not included
