Description
DRA6060 - Dragon - 1/35 Jagdpanzer 38(t) "Hetzer" Command Version '39-'45 Series
WWHP112868
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Jagdpanzer 38(t), commonly known as the Hetzer ("Baiter"), was a compact tank destroyer built on the Czech-designed 38(t) chassis and armed with the 7.5 cm PaK 39 L/48. Entering production in April 1944, it was cheap, mechanically reliable, and low enough to be easily concealed. Command variants were fitted with additional radio equipment and the distinctive Sternantenne (star antenna) in place of the standard whip, with a dummy gun barrel sometimes fitted to maintain the normal profile. This kit covers the early production block of May–June 1944, the first vehicles off the BMM production line. Dragon's three Hetzer kits, released in 1994–1995, were among the company's earliest well-regarded releases and remain accurate and buildable examples of the type.
