The "Droop Snoot" was a modification of the Lockheed P-38J Lightning in which the nose armament was replaced with a glazed Plexiglas nose housing a bombardier and a Norden bombsight. Operating as a formation leader, it directed accurate level bombing by squadrons of otherwise unmodified Lightnings, seeing action over Europe and in the China-Burma-India theatre during 1944. This Dragon release adds a newly tooled transparent nose and Cartograf decals for two aircraft, including the well-known "Bomba-Dear."
