Description

CLA96-405 - Classic Airframes 1/48 Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-3 - WWWEB10114078

Preowned, Resealed, Mint inside, Box worn

The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-3 was the first fighter from the famous MiG design bureau, a high-altitude interceptor powered by the Mikulin AM-35A engine that entered Soviet service in 1941. Fast at height but less effective in the low-level dogfights that dominated the Eastern Front, it found its niche defending Moscow against Luftwaffe bombers through the winter of 1941 and 1942, often wearing striking slogans and markings. This 1996 Classic Airframes multimedia kit captures the type in 1/48 with resin and photo-etched detail.

  • Grey injection moulded styrene parts on sprues, including fuselage halves, wings and tail surfaces
  • Resin cockpit and detail parts
  • Photo-etched fret with instrument panel, seat harness, wheel details and other fine parts
  • Clear canopy with acetate film for the windscreen
  • Waterslide decal sheet printed by Propagteam, including red stars, white numerals, red fuselage arrows, and the slogans "Za Partiyu Bolshevikov" (For the Bolshevik Party) and "Za Rodinu" (For the Motherland)
  • Illustrated assembly instructions with painting guide
