Description

5056845 - Bandai Sgt Frog Giroro Robo Mk 2

The Bandai 5056845 – Sgt. Frog Giroro Robo Mk-II is a snap-fit plastic model kit from the Keroro Gunso (Sgt. Frog) Plamo Collection, featuring the upgraded combat mecha of Corporal Giroro, the platoon’s strict and battle-focused weapons specialist.

This kit is part of the Mk-II “upgraded robot” lineup, where each Keroro Platoon member gets a more powerful and heavily armed version of their original Robo. It uses Bandai’s simple snap-fit assembly system, with pre-colored plastic parts and stickers included, so no glue or painting is required for a clean display finish.

The Giroro Robo Mk-II emphasizes heavy firepower and battlefield dominance, reflecting Giroro’s serious military personality. The design is bulkier and more aggressive than the original version, with enhanced armor and expanded weapon systems such as cannons and missile-style armaments.

One of its key gimmicks is multi-mode transformation, allowing the Robo to switch between a humanoid combat form and a tank-style configuration, reinforcing its role as a frontline assault unit.

The kit also includes:

  • A small pilot figure of Giroro
  • A saucer-style cockpit system that docks into the Robo
  • Weapon accessories for ranged and close combat display
  • Sticker sheet for added mechanical detailing

Like the rest of the Keroro Mk-II series, it is also designed for combination play, meaning it can connect with other platoon Robo Mk-II units to form larger combined machines (such as God Keron) when collected together.

Articulation is simple but expressive enough for posing in firing stances, tank conversion displays, or exaggerated “super robot” action poses typical of the series’ comedic tone. The design balances humor with a surprisingly weapon-heavy aesthetic, making it feel like a parody of traditional Gundam-style mobile suits.

The Bandai Giroro Robo Mk-II is ideal for fans of Sgt. Frog, collectors of nostalgic anime model kits, and builders who enjoy light, fun mecha kits with strong character personality and transformation gimmicks.
