Description
AZM7556 - AZ Models - 1/72 DHC-1 'Chipmunk' T.10 - WWHP113359
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
The Chipmunk was de Havilland Canada's first indigenous design, drawn up by Polish engineer Wsiewołod Jakimiuk in 1946 as a Tiger Moth replacement. Over 1,200 were built in Canada, Britain and Portugal, and the RAF used the T.10 to give initial flying training to generations of pilots. Air Experience Flights and University Air Squadrons flew them into the 1990s, and plenty are still airworthy on the civil register.
