BMW relaunched the Mini brand in 2001. The new MINI Cooper kept the spirit of Alec Issigonis’s 1959 original and added modern engineering and go-kart handling. In 2004 the R52 Convertible joined the range, with a power-folding soft top and rollover hoops behind the rear seats. The Cooper S version was powered by a supercharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder producing about 168 hp. You can spot it by the hood scoop that feeds the top-mounted intercooler, the twin centre exhausts and its sportier wheels. This AutoArt Performance replica shows the Cooper S Convertible in red with the top folded down. The opening hood reveals the supercharged engine.
